It is not the story of Motown Detroit but about the climate of racism in 1967 when "This was a city that at the point had grown to nearly 40% African American and yet had a police force that was 95% white" and the trial in 1970 by "an all-white jury" involving fatal shooting of black men by the police; brought to you by Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker 2008 and Zero Dark Thirty 2012.) Should be on our library's "Black History Month" movie lists.
