I want to like this movie, but it's hard for me because I think in this case, the cons outweigh the pros. I'll start with things I disliked first. -While some of the fight scenes were good, (like the Praetorian guard fight and Luke vs. Kylo Ren), I think that there's too many fight scenes. This movie felt like it was just one fight after another. -I thought that cool characters, (like Captain Phasma), did not get enough screen time. Characters I didn't find really interesting, (like Admiral Holdo), got too much screen time. (I also thought adding Yoda in here was a little unnecessary). -I disliked Luke's character in this movie. I always liked that he was the character that was strong, good, and unturnable, and it was kind of sad to see that he was so mopey, depressed, and ready to die. -I thought the story would sometimes go off into random places, or get kind of confusing. I wonder if there was an already written script that Rian Johnson decided to change and pick and choose from when he made the movie. It also felt like the characters forget what they were supposed to be doing. (Like Finn). -This movie felt really long. But besides all this, there were things I enjoyed from this movie. -The first was the CG and visual effects. It was like eye candy for 2 and 1/2 hours! -I really liked Rey and Leia's characters in this movie. -It was hilarious. There was a lot of humor, and that's always great for a serious film. -The music! John Williams music is good as always. -Like I mentioned earlier, some of the fight scenes were cool. So, this movie isn't awful, but it definitely isn't one of my favorites. Though I wish it could have different, I guess it could have been worse. It'll be interesting to see how this trilogy ends and I am excited to see what happens next.
