The Kennedy Detail

JFK's Secret Service Agents Break Their Silence
Feb 11, 2013StarGladiator rated this title 1 out of 5 stars
"The Secret Service are an elite team of men..." My oh my! But what a completely bogus book! For a bunch of "elite team of men" just look at the Key Biscayne helicopter crash incident, during the Nixon administration, when a Navy helicopter pilot was ferrying a presidential Secret Service detail to Nixon's bay vacation home, and after the helicopter crashed, the pilot had to rescue ALL the US Secret Service agents as none of those "elite team of men" knew how to swim! Also, neither President Kennedy nor his brother Bobby ever trusted them, and were planning on replacing the presidential bodyguard details with the much braver, and far more competent, US Marshals. This book receives an EPIC FAIL! (For a much more accurate and factual take on the slipshod US Secret Service agents surrounding President Kennedy at the time of his assassination, please read Abraham Bolden's "The Echo From Dealey Plaza" -- Mr. Bolden was the first Black-American member of a US Secret Service presidential detail. 10 stars for Mr. Bolden's book!)
