The second book in the series kicked off well from start to finish. A personal dislike of mine is the fact that the main character juggles two romantic intereasts. I enjoy triangles well enough, but the style which the author dictates it to be does not suit my tastes. *SPOILER* I think that because Mercy can't get over Sam and never resists his kiss makes her, in a sense, weaker. I liked her because she was a very strong and willful lead, but by straddling the fence it just takes away from her. I'm not saying she shouldn't be allowed to show weakness, because there are other ways Patricia Briggs did that without Sam and Adam. There's no use in sticking to a sad past, you just need to move on. Same with Adam's ex, seriously, get over it.
