(gr.1-6) "Who here has read a picture book before? When you read a picture book, do you expect it to be violent? Why or why not? The next title I’m going to talk about is kind of a weird combination of a picture book and a graphic novel. It’s longer than a regular picture book, but shorter than most graphic novels. It is also scarier than what you would find in a picture book for little kids." This is based on the fairy tale of “Little Red Riding Hood” and was originally written in French. Little Red Wolf is traveling through the woods, bringing a rabbit to his grandmother, when a little human girl shows up to help him. But all is not as it seems and soon Little Red Wolf finds himself in more danger than he could have ever imagined.
