Dog Memoirs - also know as "dogoirs." This newly minted word refers to the tidal wave of dog memoirs that have been published recently - a record number on bestseller lists in 2010. It would be easy to point the finger at John Grogan's 2005 dogoir "Marley and Me" for getting the whole thing started; it has sold six million copies and was made into a box office success as well. But, in reality, the dogoir has been around for quite awhile, tribute to the strong bonds that form so easily between humans and the canines they love.
